Password Corral - v2.1.0.14 - 1/13/1999
----------------------------------------------------------------------
New in v2.1.0.14 - 1/13/99:
* You can now set Password Corral to perform an automatic export of
your password list when you exit the program.
* Updated on-line and What's This help.
New in v2.0.5.13 - 12/15/98:
* Password Corral is now Year 2000 ready. Note to users with non-US
date formats: The method which Password Corral uses to handle dates
internally has changed. If you're using a date format other than
the standard US format, the first time you start Password Corral it
will not warn you about expired passwords and will not update days
till expiration for existing passwords. This will only occur the
first time you start the new version. If you have any other
problems with password expiration warnings or Y2K please contact
us immediately.
New in v2.0.4.12 - 12/9/98:
* Password expiration dates would sometimes fail to update and
expiration messages may not appear. This bug has been fixed.
New in v2.0.3.10 - 12/1/98:
* Password export files would fail to import properly if any of the
passwords had a carriage return on the "Notes" field. This bug has
been fixed. Re-export your passwords using this new version to
create a valid export file. This new version of Password Corral
will read old export files, but will still generate errors if the
old export file contains carriage returns. See the BUGS.TXT file for
more information on importing "corrupted" older export files.
* Password Corral would corrupt usernames that were imported if the
current master password was different from the password that
created the export file. This bug has been fixed.
* Password Corral would still generate some unneeded registry
entries. This bug has been fixed.
* Added a BUGS.TXT file to the install. This file contains
information on known bugs in Password Corral as well as information
on fixed bugs and workarounds.
* Minor changes to the README.TXT file.
New in v2.0.2.9 - 10/23/98:
* Changing your logon password could potentially add unneeded entries
in the registry. This bug has been fixed.
* Minor changes to the README.TXT file.
New in v2.0.1.8 - 9/23/98:
* Password Corral would generate an error and prevent the password
list from appearing if the PC was using a local date format
different from the standard US date format. This bug has been
fixed.
New in v2.0.0.7 - 9/10/98:
* System/Username field has now been split into two separate fields
called Description and Username. Now you can keep the username that
goes along with a password separate from the description or notes
section. The new username field is encrypted as well.
* Passwords can now have expiration dates. A visual warning will be
given each time Password Corral is started for passwords that have
expired or are past expiration.
* You can now print your password list.
* The notes panel can now be resized.
* Pressing the Return key when a password item is selected will now
bring up the Edit Password window.
* Password Corral v2.0 can import v1.5.x password export files.
* Password Corral no longer creates blank entries in the registry for
fields that have no data in them (e.g. comments, etc.).
* When editing a password, the selected entry is now updated in the
password list instead of a full list refresh being performed.
* Uninstalling Password Corral will now remove all existing user
accounts and password lists from the registry.
* Selecting "Change Logon Password" when there were no passwords in
the password list would allow you to select a new password, but
then generate a program error. The new password was saved to the
registry but Password Corral became hung in a dialog box. This bug
has been fixed.
* Selecting the File menu when there were no passwords in the
password list left the "Import Passwords" item grayed out and
unselectable (though the toolbar button still functioned). This bug
has been fixed.
* After selecting "Show Passwords", the hourglass would still be
displayed when the pointer was moved over certain areas of the main
window. This bug has been fixed.
* Updated on-line and What's This help
New in v1.5.2.62 - 7/14/98:
* It was possible to create a new user account with the same name as
an existing account. Though there was no breach of security (you'd
still have to know the other user's password), it would render the
existing password list unreadable. This bug has been fixed.
* When changing your logon password, Password Corral appeared to
freeze, when in actuality it was re-encrypting your passwords in
the background. The hourglass and a progress meter are now
displayed.
* Reduced the size of the logon screen.
* Logon screen graphic now resizes to the window size
(for non-standard system font sizes).
* Added hi-color program icon.
New in v1.5.1.60 - 5/20/98:
* Passwords are now sorted in the main window by system name.
* The currently selected password now remains selected when the "Show
Passwords" menu item is toggled.
* Minimizing the main window would cause it to appear on the desktop
as opposed to the taskbar. This bug has been fixed.
* The import progress bar would sometimes reset itself while
importing passwords. This bug has been fixed.
* Navigating through the password list with the arrow keys would not
update the comments field on the main window. This bug has been
fixed.
New in v1.5.0.56 - 4/29/98:
* Pressing the 'Exit' button on the login form would cause the main
Password Corral window to quickly appear and then disappear before
the application terminated. This bug has been fixed.
* After completing an import, the hourglass would still be displayed
when the pointer was moved over certain areas of the main window.
This bug has been fixed.
New in v1.5.0.55 RC - 4/2/98:
* Ground-up recode in new programming language
* Much smaller disk footprint than previous version - Doesn't require
any external DLL's to run!
* Replaced DES encryption with Diamond2 encryption - up to 128-bit
keys and much more secure than DES -= Old password export files
won't work with this new version...sorry =-
* Export now uses standard Win95 common dialog box

New in v0.92.0 - 5/14/97:
